Features of UHMW-PE plastic parts
1.Wear Resistance
Wear resistance is one of the most prominent characteristics of UHMWPE, with a slurry abrasion index of only 1/7 of carbon steel and 1/27 of brass. Under the same experimental conditions, the wear resistance of UHMWPE pipes is 4-7 times that of steel pipes, making them suitable for high wear scenarios such as transportation pipelines in industries such as mining and metallurgy.
2.Impact Resistance
Its impact strength is 20 times that of polyvinyl chloride and 10 times that of nylon 66, and it can maintain excellent toughness even in low temperature environments (such as -195 ℃ in liquid nitrogen). It is commonly used in the manufacture of protective equipment such as bulletproof vests and riot shields.
3.Corrosion Resistance
It can withstand corrosive media such as 80 ℃ concentrated hydrochloric acid and 75% concentrated sulfuric acid, and is widely used in industries such as chemical and electroplating for pipeline and container lining to prevent chemical corrosion.
4.Self-lubrication
The friction coefficient is extremely low (static friction coefficient is only 0.07), and it can operate without or with little lubrication, reducing friction losses. It is suitable for mechanical components such as bearings and sliders.
5.Low Temperature Resistance
It maintains ductility at -269 ℃ and is suitable for mechanical components and protective equipment in extremely cold environments.
6.Sanitary and Non-toxic
Non toxic, odorless, in compliance with food hygiene standards, commonly used in medical implants (such as joint replacements) and food processing equipment.
