Nitrile Rubber Wheels
Nitrile rubber wheels are industrial wheels mainly made of nitrile rubber (NBR). Nitrile rubber is a synthetic rubber made by copolymerizing butadiene and acrylonitrile, and its performance (especially oil resistance) depends on the content of acrylonitrile (ACN). The higher the content, the better the oil resistance, but the low-temperature elasticity will slightly decrease. Simply put, it is a rubber wheel specially designed to resist oil and fuel.

Excellent oil resistance and flame resistance:
This is the fundamental reason why it is widely used. It has strong resistance to mineral oil, vegetable oil, fatty hydrocarbons, gasoline, and diesel, and will not swell, soften, or degrade like ordinary rubber.
Good wear resistance:
In oily environments, it exhibits excellent wear resistance and long service life.
Good heat resistance:
It can usually work continuously at temperatures ranging from 100 ° C to 120 ° C, with higher short-term heat resistance than many general-purpose rubbers.

Has good tear and tensile strength, and can withstand certain heavy loads and impacts.
Good airtightness:
The dense molecular structure makes it very suitable for manufacturing components that require maintaining air pressure, such as tire inner tubes.
Relative limitations
General weather resistance: not resistant to ozone, ultraviolet radiation, and weather aging. Long term exposure to outdoor sunlight and rain can easily lead to cracking. Not suitable as the first choice for outdoor wheels.
Poor low-temperature performance: it will harden and reduce elasticity at low temperatures, making it unsuitable for use in extremely cold environments.
Poor resistance to polar solvents: not resistant to polar solvents such as ketones, esters, chlorinated hydrocarbons, etc.
Types and structures of nitrile rubber
Solid nitrile rubber wheels:
- Structure: The entire wheel is made of solid nitrile rubber.

Micro foamed nitrile rubber wheel:
- Structure: The rubber contains tiny bubbles inside.
- Advantages: lighter weight, better shock absorption and ground protection.
- Application: Medium sized load-bearing equipment with requirements for weight and shock absorption.
