Horseshoe Grommets

A horseshoe shaped washer is an open rubber component shaped like a horseshoe.
It is a metal (or a few plastic) gasket with an open structure, which uses the elastic deformation at its opening to generate axial force. Its main functions are to prevent loosening, lock, and compensate for wear.
Their design retains a notch on one side for quick installation without the need to disassemble cables, pipes, and other components. They are mainly used to protect laid cables, hoses, etc. from wear and tear when passing through holes, and also have certain sealing and fixing functions. This unique open structure makes it particularly practical in maintenance and repair scenarios, widely used in fields such as electronics, automotive, communication, and industrial equipment.

Convenient post-protection
For installed cables, pipes and other components, they can be inserted and fixed through the opening without disassembly, solving the limitation of traditional closed gaskets that "must be installed by threading wires". It is especially suitable for new protection requirements during equipment maintenance or renovation.

Anti-wear protection
The elasticity of rubber material can buffer the friction between the cable and the edge of the hole (especially the metal or hard plastic holes), preventing the insulation layer of the cable from being worn through and causing leakage, short circuit, or the surface of the pipe from being damaged and causing leakage.

Basic sealing and dust-proofing
The tight fit between the annular main body and the holes and components can reduce the entry of impurities such as dust and moisture into the equipment through the gaps. Although its sealing performance is weaker than that of the closed gasket, it is sufficient to meet the protection requirements of non-harsh environments.

Auxiliary fixation and organization
After being put on the cable, the washer can limit the shaking of the components, assist in organizing the messy lines, and make the internal layout of the equipment more regular.
